This Morning's Holly Willoughby startled by blast from past at start of show

Holly Willoughby had a serious blast from the past within moments of camera rolling on Thursday's This Morning as she came face to face with someone she first interviewed 17 years ago.

As they have all this week so far, Holly and regular presenting partner in crime Phillip Schofield took the reins of the ITV daytime show, after Holly had to take an extended break due to a particularly nasty sickness bug.

And Holly got a bit of a shock when the first studio guest of the day was someone she interviewed many moons ago when she was presenting a children's show.

The episode started with Holly and Phil unveiling head and shoulder ice sculptures of themselves and it was Jamie Hamilton, the man responsible for the cool creations that took Holly on a trip down memory lane.

Introducing him, Holly said: "We are joined by one of the lead sculptors, Jamie Hamilton - good morning to you.

"Who, I have to say, we met 17 years ago when I interviewed you for a children's show, so it's nice to see you again!!

After getting over the initial shock of seeing Jamie again, Holly went on to quiz him about his sculptures, which are currently part of a huge display at London's famous Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.

Jamie also revealed that he and the team he works with have been commissioned to do sculptures for an array of big events and A-list stars, including Adele.

Viewers at home were very quick to react to the sculptures of Holly and Phillip, with one reacting: "I really mean no offence to the creators but I am absolutely dying at this ice sculpture of Holly on this morning"

Another tweeted: "Holly’s ice sculpture looks like its come from wish"
