This Morning's Holly Willoughby shares snap from bed as she enjoys break from show

Holly Willoughby is enjoying a much-earned morning in bed as she takes a break from presenting ITV's This Morning.

Holly and co-host Phil presented a final show of 2021 on Friday, before announcing a temporary departure.

Phillip told viewers: "Apart from our special Christmas Day programme, this is our final show of 2021, and what a year it's been."

Josie Gibson is currently presenting the show.

The Bristolian presenter was drafted in as a last minute change last month after usual host Holly Willoughby was struck down with a stomach illness.

Josie's stint alongside Phillip Schofield was a resounding success as fans praised her down-to-earth broadcasting style.

She is now joined by Vernon Kay on the iconic sofa, while Holly seems to be enjoying her time off.

Sharing a snap with her many Instagram followers, Holly lazed in bed in her pyjamas, with adorable new puppy Bailey.

The post is simply captioned: "Morning" with a bow emoji, and shows a bare-faced Holly snuggled up to Bailey - who has his eyes closed.

Many of Holly's celebrity friends have commented.

Kelly Brook said: "The best", while Natalie Appleton added: "Morning".

Alan Shearer simply posted a heart-eyed emoji.

Holly's fans have also been quick to gush over the adorable puppy.

comeon89 said: "Good morning Holly what a beautiful pic of you and Bailey"

sally.furniss said: "How beautiful to wake up with that gorgeous baby"

letsstarttheconversation said: "Best morning wake up ever"
