This Morning's Holly Willoughby left red-faced as guest corrects her live on air

Holly Willoughby was left red-faced on This Morning today as a guest corrected her live on air.

The presenter was helming the show today alongside Phillip Schofield as the duo hosted a call in with Vanessa Feltz about the secret to a happy marriage. Some suggested living separately whilst others said cuddling was the best way to keep the spark alive.

However, as one guest called in, they were quick to correct Holly for an inaccuracy she made. The presenter seemed to be left red-faced and quickly apologised for her mistake before talk turned to the topic of the call-in.

As she introduced the segment, Holly went to the first caller as she said: "Julia is on the line now. She's got a secret to happiness, haven't you? Good morning! So listen, we're all ears, what's your secret?"

They waited to hear the secret, but instead Julie corrected Holly for her blunder. "My name's Julie by the way, not Julia," she said.

Holly then immediately apologised and accepted her mistake, as she added: "Sorry, it does say Julie, I read it wrong, I'm sorry."

They were joined by Julie from Wiltshire (ITV)

Julie, from Wiltshire, then went on to insist that living separately was the secret to a happy marriage, as she added: "My partner has been married for 20 years. I met him not long after I moved to Wiltshire. We live in separate houses."

As part of the call in, viewers from home also gave their verdict on what makes a happy marriage, with some suggesting time apart whilst others felt not getting married at all worked best for them.

"Secret is he works nights and in bed all day works for me !! #ThisMorning," one wrote, whilst another added: "Secret to a happy marriage is to never get married! #thismorning."

On the show today, the duo also led a Spin to Win segment but it was thrown into chaos as the hosts tried to call four people to try and win them some money - but no one was able to answer and the prize was rolled over until next time.

As guest David Jason sat on the sofa and waited for his interview, the pair tried to contact four different people. At one point, the Only Fools and Horses star even pretended to fall asleep as he waited for someone to answer the phone. He even joked that everyone was "at the edge of their seats" waiting to answer Holly and Phil's call.
