Holly Willoughby was brought to tears on This Morning today after Kate Garraway gave the latest update on her husband Derek's condition.
The 40-year-old host struggled to contain her emotions on the daytime TV show as Kate spoke about her husband's battle with long-Covid, which was captured in the documentary Finding Derek.
The programme has been shortlisted at tonight's National Television Awards and the 54-year-old presenter provided an update on Derek's road to recovery.

She said: "He's at home now, which makes a huge difference. His progress is tough and it feels like there is no change.
"He still has very little movement, he still can't talk or have a conversation, but he does seem as though he now understands everything which is fantastic."
Kate revealed her husband still sleeps 20 hours a day and spoke about how she has felt 'wrong' about leaving him to attend the awards.
However, Kate was resolved she was doing the right thing when a stranger whose sister died from complications of Coronavirus told her how much the documentary meant to her .
She said: "I felt heartbroken for her and was reminded of course there was millions of people like her - and she told me she had watched the documentary and it had given her hope in her recovery.
"I just thought there are so many people out there and I don't want them to be forgotten as hopefully life edges towards something more normal."
Holly confirmed she had been hit hard by the documentary and started to be overcome with emotion as Kate spoke of the personal struggles she faced while caring for Derek.
Holly's co-host Phillip Schofield asked whether Kate had a message to people who hadn't yet been vaccinated and were sceptical about the seriousness of Coronavirus.
She said: "If you don't think it exists, then come and spend an hour in my home.
"You don't want to go through what Derek's gone through, you don't want your children to go through what Billy and Darcey are going through."
Holly struggled to contain her emotions at this point and erupted into tears as Phil called Kate a 'remarkable woman.'
Kate apologised for making Holly cry and fans of the show on Twitter flooded the comments to say how they were also moved by her journey.
Lynne said: "That was a very emotional interview with Kate Garraway, such an inspiration.."
Lizzy added: "Kate Garraway is absolutely amazing, must be so difficult to go through all that when there’s people that act like Covid isn’t real. Such a strong woman. I hope she wins tonight at the NTA’s."
Danielle commented: "I love Kate Garraway. What a lovely woman! Bless her."
Linzi posted: "Awww Kate Garraway -an amazingly honest lovely woman. Get your frock and go to those awards."
