Holly Willoughby struggled to fight back the giggles after Phillip Schofield began cleaning up after a rescue dog live on This Morning .
As Phil reached for the tissues he joked that "we've all done it".
The chaotic moment happened when rescue dogs Coco and Chanel appeared on the ITV show in an appeal to find the pups a new home.
The two French Bulldogs were cruelly dumped by their owner and later found abandoned in a shopping bag.
But despite the heartbreaking subject, things soon took a funnier turn when one of the dogs weed on the carpet.
Spotting what had happened, Holly declared: "Oo, we've had a little accident!"
The 38-year-old then added: "It happens sometimes when you get nervous on the telly."
But it was Phil who sprung into action and grabbed some tissues to clear up the mess, much to the amusement of viewers, and his co-host.
And not to be outdone, the moment escalated further when the second dog did its business on the floor.
One viewer tweeted: "Oh god!!! A dog has done their business on @thismorning's carpet reminding me of the hilarious Donkey time when he did the business too #ThisMorning."
Another commented: "Spare a thought for the unfortunate intern furiously scrubbing the carpet during the weather #ThisMorning."

The dogs are currently being looked after by Four Paws Animal Rescue in South Wales.
