This Morning's Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield share soppy posts after being booed at NTAs

This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have shared their gratitude after the ITV morning show took home the Best Daytime gong at the National Television Awards for the tenth year in a row. The hosts and friends' emotional posts came after booing was heard at the event at Wembley Arena when they appeared in the nominations announcements.

Booing could be heard as Holly and Phil went to collect the award and this comes after the presenting duo were accused of skipping the queue to see the Queen lying in state. The show's team were also cheered as they got up on stage to collect the gong. Now Holly and Phil have thanked all who voted for them.

Holly posted a selfie of her and Phil at the awards and thanked the cast and crew who "work so hard" to produce the show and the viewers for voting for the show. She said: "Thank you...holy moly...we love you...@thismorning...you are the best team, you work so hard to make the show what it is...We want to thank each and every one of you for voting..."

Holly received many congratulatory messages on the post. One person said: "Congratulations, well deserved x" and another added: "Well done deserved" with clapping emojis. A third added: "Congratulations to the whole team x".

Phil posted a photo of Holly hugging him on stage when collecting the award and kept his thanks short and sweet. He said: "I love you @hollywilloughby and our entire @thismorning family, Thank YOU for every single vote 'cos we love you most x"

On stage, after accepting the award, Phillip addressed the crowd, saying: "Please don't ever feel like we get complacent." "Thank you so much for everything,"

Meanwhile, Holly left the National Television Awards after party early, despite not having to present This Morning the next day as on Fridays Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary step in to host the show. Alison was nominated for a National Television Award herself, for the best presenter award, but lost out to Ant and Dec, who scooped the award for the 21st year running.
