New This Morning presenter Dermot O'Leary has made an 'honest' admission about his Friday partnership Alison Hammond, after some viewers have been left far from impressed by the pair.
After it was confirmed that they'd be replacing long-serving Friday hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford last year, former X Factor frontman Dermot and Alison, who first found fame on Big Brother in 2002, officially took the reins on the ITV show in January.
But, while some viewers have described their double act as 'a ray of sunshine' and praised them for bringing some much needed cheer to difficult times, others are already calling on bosses to bring back Eamonn and Ruth.
Revealing they'd changed the channel, another tweeted: "Another Friday where I have to watch #JeremyVine. Get rid of them and give back the slot to Eamonn and Ruth," and, doing the same thing, a third posted: "What a shambolic start to the programme. . Bring back Ruth and Eamonn. Time to change channel"
Birmingham Live report that Dermot appeared on This Morning earlier this week to take questions from ITV colleagues Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
Phillip asked him: "How are you enjoying your Fridays?" to which Dermot responded: "I'm having the best time.
"It's the most fun, Alison and the crew are great and there's so much food."
Opening up on him and Alison 'finding their feet', he added: "We are still getting to know each other really, we've known each other for 20 years but not well.
"We're still feeling it as we go, but I'm having the best time."
Dermot's comment came days after Alison referenced their partnership on the show.
The duo were chatting to Lizzie Gee and her son Rufus, eight, who took up tap dancing in lockdown. As well as going viral with his dancing skills, Rufus said that it had helped the pair bond over the past year.
"I am actually speechless at how good at tap dancing you are, because I actually did tap dancing when I was a kid," said Alison.
"It's just a really nice thing to do isn't it, to bond? And I feel like me and Dermot, we still need to bond."
