This Morning 's Alison Hammond, 45, announced on Wednesday's show that she has been diagnosed as pre-diabetic.
She told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that this means she still has time to turn it around and avoid a host of health issues.
Being pre-diabetic means someone has higher blood sugar levels than normal, but not high enough to be considered type 2 diabetes yet.
But she begged viewers to help her and to hold her accountable for her diet, and told them to stop her if they see her scoffing chocolate.
Phil and Holly seemed stunned that Alison had said the news live on air, congratulating her on her bravery.
As Alison joked about snacking on nuts and blueberries, she said: "I have had some news, guys, I am willing to share if you've got the time.
"I have found out that I am pre-diabetic, so I really need your help, and I have got to change my ways.
"If you see me out there buying any chocolate or sweets, please, please I am begging you, I am not allowed to have it.
"I've got to change my ways, this is serious now, pre-diabetes.
"That's a really brave thing to say, I didn't think you were going to do that, well done you," said Phil.
"There's a lot of people who are pre-diabetic and I think it's important," replied Alison.

"I've got a chance to turn it around, it is type 2, so I really want you help, and I need you."
"You've got a chance to turn it around, we are right here beside you," said Holly.
Phil then joked that he would use the two-metre social distancing stick to hit Alison with if he saw her eating sugary snacks.
Viewers flooded Alison with support, as one tweeted: "Aaahhhhh @AlisonHammond bless your heart well caught early so get them berries! Frozen ones are great and cheaper! And let’s kick it’s butt !".
"Well done @AlisonHammond on being so honest and open about it - you can do this," cheered another.
"God I love @AlisonHammond so much! Something so pure about her attitude to life #ThisMorning," gushed a third.
