This Morning's Alison Hammond 'in running' for own ITV Saturday night chat show

She’ll front This Morning for the first time before making her debut on Radio 2... so it’s no wonder Alison Hammond is nervous.

The TV presenter will step up to host This Morning for the first time tomorrow alongside Rochelle Humes, before standing in for Rylan Clark-Neal’s BBC radio show on Saturday.

And it all coincides with ITV’s plans to give the star, famed for her quirky interviews with A-listers, her own chat show.

“They’ve put me in charge, just me!” she squeals of the BBC.

“I’ve never DJ’d in my life. I hope people like me. What if they’re like: ‘Where’s Rylan? Get him back!’”

Alison fears she could “blank out” on air after nerves struck in an interview with Mariah Carey, admitting: “I could just go quiet!”

She will cover for her fellow Big Brother alumnus for three weeks, after getting to grips with the technology set up at her home.

“I’ve got to work out how it all works,” she frets.

It comes after ITV filmed a pilot for her chat show Happy Hour.

Alison said of the series: “There’s exciting things coming up.”

The bubbly This Morning presenter, will take over from  Big Brother  presenter Rylan on his Radio 2 Saturday slot while he takes a well deserved break.

Rylan has called in a huge favour from his former This Morning co-worker as he will take some time to rest and recuperate over the next three weeks.

Making the announcement on  Twitter  on Tuesday evening, Alison insisted that she could not wait to fill Rylan's boots temporarily.

The telly star penned: "I'll be keeping Rylan's shoes warm on @BBCRadio2 this Saturday.

"If you fancy a little Ali love come and join us. I've got some fab tunes lined up to see you through," Alison added.
