This Morning's Alison Hammond announces big career move before return to the show

Alison Hammond has revealed news of huge career move for her, days ahead of her return to the This Morning sofa.

The former Big Brother contestant has been missing from the ITV show over the summer months, with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford hosting every week from Monday right through to Friday.

Alison took over Ruth and Eamonn' s usual Friday slot alongside Dermot O'Leary at the start of this year but it's Rochelle Humes she will join when she returns to This Morning next week, presenting with the former Saturdays singer on Monday and Friday.

But, before she heads back into the ITV studio once again, Alison had some non-TV related news to break on her Instagram, when she revealed to her many followers that she will be realising her autobiography You've Got To Laugh in October.

Posting a quote from the book about her famous showbiz interviews on This Morning, Alison wrote: "Honestly still buzzing that my book “You’ve got to laugh “ is out in October . I just can’t wait ! Pre- Order you copy Now , so I know how many to print!"

Bake Off finalist Laura Adlington was quick to comment on Alison's news, writing: "And we love to see it," while popstar Pixie Lott reacted: "And U have the best laugh everrr"

A long-standing fan told Alison: "I remember meeting you when you were a rep in Tunisia and then when I seen you on Big Brother it blew my mind. How far you’ve came eh?

"I can’t wait for your book and I’m already looking forward to what else you have in store for us. Keep being you Alison cos we bloody love you."

News of Alison's autobiography comes after she made the final shortlist for Best Presenter at this year's National Television Awards.

She will battle it out alongside Ant and Dec, Piers Morgan, Bradley Walsh and her This Morning colleague Holly Willoughby.
