This Morning's Alison and Dermot takeover leaves viewers asking same question

This Morning viewers were asking the same question during today's show.

Tuesday's edition of ITV's flagship daytime programme was hosted by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.

The presenting pair are standing in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield during the October half term from October 18 - 22.

Alison and Dermot were excited to announce the news when ITV confirmed the presenting shake-up last month.

Alison said: "The last time we did it, I really enjoyed the intenseness of it and seeing him every single day. I’m hoping to have a couple of meals out, some lunches with him as well."

Dermot agreed with the 46-year-old presenter and spoke about how he is looking forward to seeing more of Alison during their takeover.

He said: "Intenseness is the perfect word to describe it, but it’s a pleasant intenseness."

The pair usually host the show on Fridays together and today entertained viewers with interviews with former EastEnders' actor, Paul Nicholas, and a guest who claimed to have fell in love with a ghost.

However, Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have taken over presenting duties during recent stints when Holly and Phil have taken a well-earned break,.

And fans following the show on Twitter were asking where the husband and wife presenting couple were this occasion.

@LadyFerny asked: "Where's Ruth and Eamonn?"

Molly added: "What’s happened to Eamonn and Ruth covering holidays, did #ThisMorning fail to mention that it would just be the summer holiday!"

Cameron commented: "Eamonn & Ruth better do the Christmas week!"

Glynis said: "Wish Eamonn was on for this interview as i could just see the reaction."

Craig posted: "Fashion time. Oh I do miss Eamonn v Lisa."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITVHub
