This Morning host Holly Willoughby 'emotional' as she receives Covid vaccine

This Morning host Holly Willoughby, 40, revealed on Thursday's show that she has had her Covid vaccine after the rollout reached her age group.

"I've been done, I am fully vaccinated! Yesterday I went for my vaccine, I stood in the queue, went in, totally seamless, all fine," she told co host Phillip Schofield, 58.

She continued: "It's quite an emotional experience, because you talk about it for so long, then you go in there and everyone around you, there is this atmosphere that we are all finally getting the vaccination we have wanted.

"And you're on the road to feeling safe and protected, so it was amazing.

"That's my first one so I've got to wait a while, you've been done, haven't you?" she asked Phil.

Phil replied: "I have had mine, which once again, was so unbelievably efficient, you are in, you are out, you shake it all about! I was so thrilled I did actually, as a matter of fact!

"All the way down the corridor!" he laughed.

Holly remarked: "People said, 'You are doing it on a Wednesday, you might get a bit of a temperature' - I feel fine! I feel positively left out! But I did get a badge."

Phil agreed: "Yeah I felt absolutely fine, slightly bruised arm but other than that..."

Holly said she had no side effects from the vaccine (ITV)

Phil got his Covid vaccine in March, and told Holly: "Booking online with the NHS app is so simple, I picked my time, picked my day, went along and had my vaccine.

"The team was absolutely delightful, and it didn’t even hurt at all."

He added: "That’s number one done, I had the Oxford one, waiting for the second one to be filled in, in about 12 weeks time.

"The whole experience was efficient and friendly, don’t be nervous."

He also posted a photo of the moment on Instagram, where he wrote: "All painlessly jabbed up, that couldn’t have been any easier, more efficient or friendlier, thank you to Lisa and the team."
