This Morning host Andi Peters makes promise to viewers after 'dig' at Rochelle Humes

Andi Peters has made a promise to 'behave' on This Morning after making a dig at the expense of his new co-presenter Rochelle Humes.

It was former Saturdays star Rochelle who let slip that CBBC legend Andi would be joining her on the ITV programme after he walked on set during Friday's episode, which she hosted alongside Craig Doyle. Rochelle and Craig are just two of a growing number of presenters who have been given the chance to anchor the programme over the summer.

With Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby still on their annual extended break, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary have teamed up to front a host of shows, with Josie Gibson and Vernon Kay also doing the honours. Ruth Langsford and Rylan Clark are widely tipped to be given a week in charge before Phillip and Holly are returned, but, this coming week it's Rochelle and Andi.

As he appeared on Friday's show, Andi joked to Rochelle that he was early because that was 'how to get ahead in TV,' and he also spoke about his upcoming This Morning stint on Twitter too, remarking: I promise to behave on This Morning…to the best of my ability!"

He also aimed a playful jibe at Rochelle over something she said to ex Holiday presenter Craig at the start of Thursday's programme. Craig had hosted with Josie for four days before Rochelle joined him and he quipped: "It's like the sofa speed dating continues," before she replied: "I'll be totally honest with you Craig, I've been with everyone here!"

Quoting a clip of that conversation and sharing it on his own Twitter timeline, Andi added: "She's been with everyone...my turn next week! See you Monday @RochelleHumes."

Reacting to Andi's post, one of his followers responded: "It’s been lovely have so many different presenters on. They need to keep this up it keeps it fresh. Looking forward to seeing you next week," with another writing: "Your great craic Andi, she loves the Irish charm this week, but your her favourite for next week."
