This Morning Holly Willoughby issues health update as she misses show again

Holly Willoughby has issued an update on her This Morning return.

The TV host was forced to pull out of presenting ITV's flagship daytime programme this week after being struck down by a stomach bug.

Josie Gibson has taken over anchoring duties for the past two days - and the Bristolian's stint looks set to continue as Holly has revealed she is still continuing her recovery from illness.

Holly shared a photo of her cat, Bluebell, with her Instagram followers and announced how she is still feeling "under the weather".

She said: "Good morning… My name is Bluebell, sadly Holly won’t be able to come out to play on @thismorning today as she is still under the weather."

Phillip Schofield had hoped his regular co-host would be able to join him on the iconic sofa for today's episode, but Holly has now confirmed she won't return until next week.

The post continued: "Seriously what I’ve witnessed over the last 48 hours you wouldn’t want her there… I’m sure she’ll be back on Monday… Honestly I’m sick of the sight of her!"

The mum-of-three's fans and followers flooded the comments to wish her well in her recovery.

Maunika Gowardhan said: "Feel better soon Holly! Xx"

Chris added: Get well soon Holly, we miss you"

Ellen commented: "Haha!! Get better soon Holly"

Fiona posted: "Get well soon!"

Sam added: "Get well soon, sending love & hugs."

This Mornings airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITVHub
