This Morning guest sparks outrage by promoting no breakfast to live to 180

This Morning guest Dave Asprey angered viewers at home by promoting no breakfast in a bid to live to 180.

The American entrepreneur, 47, caused a stir with his controversial comments to avoid ageing on This Morning on Monday.

Social media was awash with comments slamming the lifestyle guru, and author of Fast This Way, as "unhealthy" for promoting eating no breakfast.

Among a sea of comments, one wrote: "Why are they having someone on who is promoting not eating breakfast? That's so unhealthy for so many people, why feature that on #thismorning??"

Dave, who has invested $1million on trying to stay young, advised people to skip breakfast and stave off their hunger with black coffee or tea.

His comments even raised Phillip Schofield's eyebrows as the presenter suggested eating no breakfast causes people to faint.

He said: "Skip breakfast. You can do things to turn off hunger but if you just get breakfast. Black coffee is fine. Even if you make it to 10 or 11. It's free, it's cheaper."

Phil responded: "Anyone who faints on the bus can say probably because I didn't eat breakfast. Oh, it's fascinating!"
