This Morning goes to ad break after John Barrowman makes awkward sexual innuendo

John Barrowman made an awkward sexual innuendo while presenting today's This Morning.

The Doctor Who and I'm A Celebrity star had his head in his hands, leaving giggling co-host Rochelle Humes to continue with the show.

The hilarious moment came after home genie Georgina Burnett showed viewers how to revamp their gardens without splashing the cash.

She created a magical garden in an old wheelbarrow using compost, flowers and moss, then finished the masterpiece off with a sprinkle of fairy dust.

Once the VT had finished, Rochelle said: "My little girl would love that - the fairy dust."

Straight-faced John replied: "I know. I love a fairy."

Rochelle looked confused and didn't know what to say as she turned to look at her co-host.

Horrified John suddenly realised he had made an embarrassing gaffe.

The This Morning crew started laughing off-camera and guest Sara Cox, who was on to speak about her new TV show, got the giggles.

Rochelle, who struggled to get her words out, said: "What...is that...okay, he loves a fairy."

The Saturdays singer put a comforting hand on John's knee as she revealed what else was coming up on the show, but cheekily mocked her co-host.

She said: "Still to come - start your weekend with Sara Cox. We'll be talking about her brand new TV show...if she’ll chat with us."

Rochelle gave him a hug as This Morning went to a much-needed ad break.

Luckily, John had managed to regain his composure after the adverts.

Another added: "How do you get some amusing probably innuendo s*** out of the word 'fairy'. Zzz"

Putting a cry laughing emoji, a third agreed: "I love a fairy"
