This Morning fans spot similarity as Nick Knowles talks about new show

DIY SOS presenter, Nick Knowles appeared on This Morning today to talk to Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters about his new channel 5 show.

Nick Knowles' Big House Clear out first aired August 19 this year and is about Nick and his team helping families to declutter their homes, by stripping them bare and offering people the opportunity to ditch half of their possessions, before they receive a stunning home makeover.

The show has been split into six parts, with the first two episodes already been shown and the third being aired tonight but This Morning fans were quick to notice the comparison of the show to another.

Loose Women panelist, Stacey Solomon released her new home improvement and lifestyle show, Stacey Solomon Sort Your Life Out back in April this year, with the pilot being shown on BBC One.

Her show also sees the TV personality being joined by a team of experts to help six families declutter their homes.

With the show being described as a "nationwide spring clean", Stacey and her team of three experts lay the families' possessions out in a giant warehouse, resembling an art installation of their lives before asking them to let go of thousands of their possessions.

Once their belongings are sorted, Stacey and the the team then reorganise the families' homes by cleaning and upcycling them.

The show, which will continue to air on BBC One in October, came after the success of Stacey's book, Tap to Tidy which was released in March this year and was voted The Sunday Times number one best seller.

After noticing the comparison of the two shows following Nick Knowles interview on This Morning, viewers shared their thoughts on Twitter.

One fan said: "Nick Knowles' programme is basically Stacey Solomon's programme right?" and another viewer added: "Didn't Stacey Solomon do this exact same thing on BBC at the start of the year? Hmmm."

A third fan also wrote: "This is EXACTLY the same as the new @StaceySolomon show on BBC though? Not complaining though, I'll still watch but damn you could have changed something about the format."
