Phillip Schofield in brutal dig at Donald Trump - 'sadly he's still with us'

Phillip Schofield was criticised by This Morning viewers today after saying that "Donald Trump is sadly still here".

While some fans took it to mean that he was sad he wasn't alive, Phil clarified on Twitter that he actually meant that he was sad he was "still in the office".

Speaking to Nicola Thorp and Matthew Wright, Phil and Holly Willoughby addressed the US president's recent comments that he was taking hydroxychloroquine to prevent coronavirus.

Earlier today, Dr Hilary Jones warned that there were a number of troubling consequences of using the unproven drug, including heart failure.

But at the beginning to the debate, Phil remarked flippantly: "Sadly, Donald Trump is still here."
