This Morning fans slam guest who said Aintree racegoers display "gutter behaviour"

This Morning fans slammed etiquette expert Liz Brewer as she said racegoers' behaviour "goes down into the gutter."

Eammon and Ruth chaired a debate between the expert and Lizzie Cundy - after unflattering pictures appeared in the newspapers of racegoers at Aintree today.

Lizzie said she'd been humiliated by her outfit choices in the past, while Liz argued that those going to the races should have more respect.

Liz said: "(when) they turn up they look wonderful, with their colourful outfits, but it's from 10.30-5pm  and they're sipping their prosecco.

"Their behaviour goes right down into the gutter, they're pulling their tops down and all this flesh comes out at 3pm.

"Aintree don't want this."

But Lizzie said: "Women should be able to choose what we should wear - why do we pick on the women and what they wear?

"Fashion is fun, these rules should be relaxed."

And viewers backed Lizzie, slamming Liz for her controversial views.

One said: "Let lasses dress and do what they want at Ladies Day, if people don’t like it then don’t get involved!"

Another said: "Etiquette expert = professional prude."

A third said: "Yes @lizziecundy , I totally agree with you! It is always the women that get the most criticism in these situations. People have a “boys will be boys” attitude to the men, so they always get away with more!"

Alison Hammond at Aintree (ITV)

Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley spoke to Alison Hammond at Aintree and she slammed the unflattering pictures, saying: "Life can be bad enough, people should be able to relax and have a good time."

Earlier this week ECHO journalist Catherine Murphy wrote an open letter to the Daily Mail - asking them to stop publishing humiliating, pictures of women at Aintree.

Catherine appeared on ECHO speaks to BBC Breakfast over Daily Mail's unflattering coverage of Ladies Day to speak about the letter and said that Liverpool had had enough.
