An anti-mask campaigner was slammed by This Morning viewers today after she claimed the coverings "infringe on her human rights".
Leah Butler-Smith, who is refusing to wear a face covering, appeared on the ITV daytime show and suggested that the government are "brainwashing" the public.
This comes as face masks become compulsory in shops in England from today. There are some exemptions - children under 11 are not required to wear them, nor are those with underlying health conditions.

However, Leah insisted that she was "incredibly passionate" about not being forced to wear a mask and put on a demonstration against it.
She said: "Under the umbrella of Keep Britain Free, people have come together through our deep concerns of the harms we're seeing caused by lockdown and the mask-wearing mandation was just the tipping point for all of us."

Leah claimed that several hundred people attended the demonstration and that telling people to wear masks was "causing a lot of fear" among people.
But viewers were not impressed by Leah and accused her of being "selfish" by refusing to wear a mask.
One tweeted: "SWEETIE THE RISK ASSESSMENT HAS BEEN DONE AND YOU NEED TO WEAR A MASK #ThisMorning."

While another commented: "How selfish of this woman, just wear a damn mask and get over it... #ThisMorning."
A third wrote: "Can someone ask this lady if she wears a seat belt when she gets in a car, what is the difference?? #ThisMorning."
"Does Lear pay her bills or does that infringe her human rights #thismorning," another questioned.
Another wrote: "#ThisMorning This woman can go out when she wants, wear what she wants, eat what she wants, her humans rights are pretty easy really. Put up or shut up."
"Can you imagine thinking that you are so important that a virus that has killed 100,000s of people won’t infect you because you think a piece of fabric is infringing on your human rights? Yeah me neither #thismorning #WearAMask," one commented.
Another fumed: "You’re a selfish C*** if you refuse to wear a mask. You will protect yourself and those around you. So just do as you’re told. Yes they are uncomfortable and it is not easy to wear them in hot weather but just think of our frontline workers #ThisMorning #WearAMaskSaveALife."
