Andi Peters has won praise from This Morning viewers who are calling for him to have a permanent presenting role on the show.
The Good Morning Britain star took on presenting duties on Thursday alongside Rochelle Humes.
The former Saturdays star herself has been presenting the ITV magazine show all week and was previously paired with Eamonn Holmes on Monday and Tuesday and then Alison Hammond on Wednesday.
Rochelle had been due to present alongside Vernon Kay this week in his This Morning debut, but the presenter tested positive for Covid-19 and was forced to drop out of the show.
Despite being usually seen presenting competitions on Good Morning Britain and Lorraine, Andi has worked extensively in television since the 1980s.
At the start of his presenting appearance on This Morning, Andi got a round of applause from the show’s crew.
"Don't because I'll get emotional," Andi said. "And wel all know how easily I cry on television.”
Rochelle also noted how long she has known Andi for and he even commented: "I think I've known you longer than your husband [Marvin Humes] has known you.”
Viewers adored the pairing of Rochelle and Andi with many calling for him to have a permanent presenting gig on the show.
One person wrote on Twitter : “Enjoyed watching Andi Peters and Rochelle Humes on #thismorning. A great presenting combo. @andipeters @RochelleHumes ”.
A different fan of Andi’s tweeted: “Can Andi and Rochelle just take over from Phil and Holly? Or am I being unreasonable? [laugjing emoji] #thismorning ”.
Meanwhile, another This Morning viewer commented: “Andi Peters is so natural! Fantastic presenter - Andi & Rochelle the dream team on #ThisMorning - sometimes these things are meant to happen - even by chance!”
Elsewhere, a different social media user penned: "Loved @RochelleHumes and @andipeters on #ThisMorning today. Fantastic together and should be regular presenters along with @RuthieeL and @EamonnHolmes Andi is like a breath of fresh air.”
Finally, one This Morning fan concluded: “Within minutes I realised what a breath of fresh air had happened. What a brilliant presenter Andi Peters is on the show.
