This Morning fans livid after 'cheating' caller wins holiday in Spin To Win mix up

This Morning fans were left raging today after Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield let a 'cheating' caller win a holiday during the Spin To Win game.

The competition gives viewers the opportunity to win a prize from the Spin To Win wheel if they are called and answer a question correctly.

On top of that, the rules of the game state that callers must recite a daily password which is revealed on the This Morning app as soon as they answer the phone. Say "hello", and you're out, the Daily Star reports.

Well, Holly and Phil caused a bit of controversy today when a caller appeared to say "hello" instead of the password "lime", but they let her play anyway.

"Yes, that was 'lime' wasn't it?" Phil said.

After checking if the caller said the password, Phil let her play. "Yeah, no, I think you said it. I think you did," Phil insisted.

The caller then went on to win a seven-night trip to the Canary Islands.

Well, some viewers weren't entirely convinced they should have been allowed to play and took to Twitter in frustration.

One wrote: "Really annoyed that I've registered everyday for the spin to win game and the caller today answered with 'hello' and they let her play."

Another said: "Not fair all those people who have said 'Hello' and you cut them off , but then give the prize to someone who said 'hello'. Out if order I'm afraid. Sure this will cause some problems."

A third fumed: "Farce! They make the rules up. She said 'Hello', then said Lime, Lime, Lime lol. Holly heard it so did millions of your viewers."

Another said: "I wait in every b****y morning for Spin To Win and never get called! You rang her today and she said HELLO!!! and you let her carry on!"

"She definitely said hello this morning. Some people including me are sat here every single morning waiting for a call ready with the actual password." said another.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
