This Morning fans hailed a cat the "highlight of the show" today after it gatecrashed the programme's wreath segment.

Georgina Burnett appeared on the ITV daytime show to inform viewers about "doorscaping" to bring a bit of style to viewers' front doors.

Vowing to get viewers in the seasonal decoration spirit, Georgina explained how to make the wreaths from her home via video link.

But her cat appeared determined to steal the limelight and jumped onto the table and began to clean itself.

And viewers loved the cat and pleaded for it to return to the show.
