This Morning fans horrified by fishy twist on jacket potatoes

When you think of having a jacket potato for tea, you may go for a classic cheese and beans or tuna mayo to name a few.

But This Morning took it a step further by adding a fishy twist to the easy food staple.

On Tuesday’s edition of the ITV show Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, who are presenting the programme during the Easter break, were joined byIrish chef Clodagh McKenna.

The first jacket potato Clodagh whipped up featured crème fraîche - and trout caviar - before moving on to show the hosts and viewers at home how to make a fish pie jacket potato, featuring a fish mix, milk sauce and a prawn to top it all off.

Eamonn and Ruth both tucked in as Clodagh ploughed on with her demonstration who both agreed it was "lovely".

But let's just say viewers were not all on board.

"Urgh you don’t put fish pie in a baked potato are you ill or something?," one wrote.

Another said: "Fish pie on Jacket? What is this evilness."

"You can’t beat a jacket potato with butter, beans and cheese. Why mess with a classic?! #thismorning," argued a third.

A fourth surprised viewer added: "Fish pie on a baked potato?? Say what now..??? #ThisMorning."

"Enough with your potato pimpery #ThisMorning," another declared.

Clodagh appeared again later for another whirl in the kitchen, and this time it was a no bake lemon cheesecake with hazelnut crumb on the menu.
