This Morning fans fuming as the ITV show is cancelled for the Rugby World Cup 2019

Those who were settling down with a brew ready for This Morning at 10.30am today were left very dissapointed.

There was no sign of presenting duo Eamonn Holmes or Ruth Langsford on ITV on Friday as the daytime favourite was cancelled.

Fans of This Morning need not worry too much though as it's only temporary.

The show has been taken off the air for two days, Friday and Monday September 23, to make way for the Rugby World Cup 2019.

The big sporting event has begun and will last for seven weeks, ending on Saturday November 2, as the competition heads to Japan for the very first time.

Before the start of Thursday's show with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, the ITV announcer revealed that Thursday was in fact the new Friday as it was the last we will see of the daytime favourite this week.

Don't worry, Holly and Phil will be back next week (ITV)

But regular viewers will still not happy.

"No #ThisMorning on... how stupid ... stupid rugby which I'm not even into," tweeted one annoyed fan.

They were not alone: "Confession: I am one of those people tweeting that I'm annoyed #thismorning has been taken off air for the Rugby World Cup."

A third added: "I'm not keen on @EamonnHolmes & @RuthieeL new look...where the hell is @thismorning ??? #ThisMorning," alongside the RWC opening titles.

Then another questioned: "No #ThisMorning @thismorning today or Monday, what will I do?"

We don't quite no either.

But normality will resume with Holly and Phillip on Tuesday from 10.30am.
