This Morning fans ecstatic as Richard and Judy return to present show

This Morning fans were delighted today as Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan returned to present the show.

Filling in for Eamonn Holmes and wife Ruth Langsford, who replaced Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield all this week, Richard and Judy took the reins for Friday's instalment of the popular ITV daytime show.

Richard jokingly opened the show by saying: "We did warn you, we said we'd be back.

"It feels like we've been defrosted and have picked up where we left off," Richard added.

The iconic duo last returned to our screens to present This Morning in October last year, and viewers are once again all saying the same thing.

After the initial shock, fans were thrilled to see the veteran presenters back at the helm. Seeing them on screen was a dose of nostalgia too, with many saying it was like being back at college.

Viewers took to social media to express their excitement about Richard and Judy's return.

One viewer wrote on Twitter: "Surreal but utterly brilliant to see #RichardandJudy Present @thismorning on @Itv again Today! Brings back such good memories #ThisMorning."

Another branded it a return to the "good old days".

A third said: "It's like putting your favourite cosy jumper on. Great to see them back!"

Fans were so pleased by their appearance that they wanted them to get a regular slot presenting the show.

"How refreshing are Richard and Judy! Judy looks more relaxed than I’ve ever seen her. Please can we have more of them? I know I’d love to see them back where they belong," a fourth wrote.

Another said: "Absolutely loving Richard and Judy back this morning. It’s just like yesterday since they presented the show. Giving me a lovely feel good glow. Please give them a regular slot."

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
