This Morning fans distracted by bouncy baby giraffe Albert zooming in background

This Morning viewers were left distracted by an utterly adorable baby giraffe zooming around in the background.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford had been speaking to zoo keeper Caroline Wright at Chester Zoo when they were introduced to Albert the baby Giraffe.

The presenters were excited when the little giraffe bounced out along with the rest of his family.

Ruth squealed: "Oh here he is! Hello!"

The baby bounded out, followed by the dad, and ran around as the zoo keeper spoke about the giraffes.

A fan wrote: "They're lovely and I could watch them all day... but boy are they weird."

"How gorgeous is Albert," another commented.

Earlier on in the programme, Eamonn finally announced his news - that he would be a grandparent!

The 61-year-old announced the news by saying: "It's not been a good time. I've been in tears again."

Sharing a picture on screen of son Declan and his daughter-in-law Jenny, he said: "Declan is my eldest boy, he's 32 years of age, and that is Jenny, his beloved wife.

"And they have just announced that I, together with Valerie and Robin, Jenny's mum and dad, and Gabrielle, Declan's mummy, we're all going to grandparents! I'm going to be a granddad!"

Ruth began clapping and said that she "loved it".

Ahead of his announcement, Eamonn worried fans at the beginning of today's show as he told them "not to cry" and "to be happy" for him.
