This Morning fans demand answers over Eammon Holmes and Ruth Langsford decision

This Morning fans are still reeling after discovering Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford will not be returning to the show next week.

The husband and wife duo previously presented the ITV daytime favourite every Friday and holiday.

However, in January Eamonn and Ruth were replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary but were still expected to return as hosts over the Summer, at Easter and over other breaks.

Though, as was reported yesterday, viewers have been left confused after it was announced Alison and Dermot will fill in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield over half-term next week.

Eamonn or Ruth haven't commented on the news - but fans are still demanding answers a day after the change was revealed.

"Excuse me what happend to Eamon and Ruth next week for half term? #ThisMorning," one said on Tuesday.

Another raged: "WHY ARE EAMON & RUTH NOT PRESENTING? #ThisMorning."

"We want Eamonn and Ruth next week, they usually do the holidays hope they are okay #ThisMorning," a third concerned fan asked.

But those eager to see Eamonn and Ruth back need not worry as they will be soon.

"Alison and Dermot were always due to present next week," a ITV spokesperson confirmed to Express.co.uk.

"Eamonn and Ruth will be presenting over the summer," they revealed.

Alison and Dermot had their role on the show made permanent last week when they finally got their own intro.

The official This Morning twitter account shared a look at them on Friday, writing: "Did someone say NEW TITLES?!

"Welcome to your Friday #ThisMorning, with @AlisonHammond and @radioleary!"
