This Morning fans cringe at Dermot O'Leary forcing 'fake laugh' during Al Murray chat

This Morning viewers were left cringing on Wednesday as they accused This Morning host Dermot O'Leary of using a "fake" laugh.

Dermot and his co-host Alison Hammond invited Al Murray, AKA The Pub Landlord, into the studio to discuss his new TV show, and of course the comedian cracked a few jokes.

Why Do The Brits Win Every War? will air on Sky History and features Al meeting "proud patriots from countries that were once our enemy".

Speaking to Dermot, 48, and his co-host Alison Hammond, Al said: "I think it's a well known fact, we the British, we have an undefeated clean sheet. We're currently world war champions of the world.

"The reason I'm so motivated to learn is because if you win a pub quiz, you win a frozen chicken," he added.

Al went on to do an impression of Prime Minister Boris Johnson as he spoke about his daily updates during lockdown.

Despite visibly cracking up at most of 53-year-old Al's comments, fans of the ITV show think Dermot was forcing his laughs.
