This Morning fans cringe as Love Island's Tasha and Andrew make presenting debut on show

This Morning viewers were left cringing after Love Island sweethearts Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page made their presenting debut on Mondays show.

The duo fronted this week's daytime competition while sitting in front of a swimming pool in Guernsey.

Both held hands as they walked along a swimming pool in slow motion, harking back to their days on the ITV2 dating show.

The clip then cut to the couple clinking their champagne glasses (again, in slow motion) before they took a sip.

As they reenacted a date, Andrew and Tasha completed the voiceover.

Andrew started: "Tasha, you know what they say... You can take the couple out of Love Island but you can't take the Love Island out of the couple."

Tasha replied: "Andrew, I don't think anybody has ever said that."

They went on to explain the giveaway, taking turns to read out the prizes for the ITV show.

Viewers were not impressed with their presenting skills, with some complaining their use of autocue felt like they were 'reading to the class in school'.

One person tweeted: "Tasha & Andrew sound like they are reading to the class in school."

Another added: "Oh don't start having love Islanders doing the comps."

"Just watch that competition with Andrew and Tasha – it just sounded super lame and wooden," another disappointed fan said.

Some were simply delighted that the couple are 'booked and busy.'

"Back on our screens, filmed a competition segment for @ITV in Guernsey and will be on @thismorning and @loosewomen," they commented.

Andrew and Tasha's first presenting role comes after it was revealed that Tasha landed a huge fashion deal with eBay UK.

Tasha announced her new role as the marketplace’s ‘pre-loved ambassador’ via a post on her Instagram earlier this month.

In a bid to become more sustainable this season, Love Island partnered with eBay, encouraging the Islanders to wear pre-loved clothes while in the villa, and it’s the first non-fast fashion brand partnership to come out of the cult TV series.

Continuing in its mission to change the way we shop for clothes and putting secondhand fashion centre stage, the collaboration is a natural next step for eBay, after the model and dancer was quickly dubbed this year’s fashion style icon, providing us with a master class in pre-loved styling each night.

Alongside a series of promotional photos, Tasha wrote: "A BIRTHDAY GIFT TO LAST A LIFETIME. I am over the moon to announce I am @ebay_uk first ever pre-loved ambassador.

"Prior to Love Island, I've always bought secondhand for my wardrobe, so partnering with #eBay really is a dream come true.

"I feel passionately that we can all make little swaps to our wardrobes and our lives for the better and so I’m excited to join eBay on their mission to put secondhand fashion front and centre."

She added: "Plus I’d like to think that over the last 8 weeks I have shown that pre-loved serves up amazing looks while bringing out my personality! Watch this space, more will be revealed!"
