This Morning fans astonished as guest is the spitting image of TV presenter

This Morning hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes presented a segment on sheds on Wednesday featuring people who had turned their sheds into incredible interior design projects and places for respite.

The sheds featured were all candidates for Shed Of The Year, including Ashley Bates, who teaches children's classes on YouTube via his shed in Surrey.

But viewers were totally distracted as they remarked that Ashley was the spitting image of a famous TV presenter.

Twitter was alight with fans commenting that Ashley looked exactly like Wide Awake Club's Timmy Mallett.

Ruth and Eamonn were interviewing the owners of the Shed Of The Year finalists (ITV)

"I thought Timmy Mallet would have had a bigger shed than that #ThisMorning " joked one.

"Pound shop Timmy Mallet? #ThisMorning " commented another.

"This guy looks like Timmy Mallet! #ThisMorning " added a third.

A fourth joked: "Timmy Mallett has aged well... #ThisMorning ".

"Feckin Timmy Mallett lovechild," declared another.

Eamonn told Ashley his shed looked like a toilet, and the guest laughed and agreed.

"It's a bit more than a shed, it's a free online educational platform where I teach children every day on YouTube and Facebook," he said.

"I started it when my school where I work as a teacher got shut down for lockdown, and I thought, 'How can I continue to teach kids across the nation?'

"So I turned my shed into a live streaming TV roo, basically, that looks like a toilet!"

Ashley had his laptop, microphone, some lights and teaching materials in his shed, and the children log on and can get involved in the lessons.

"It's a very imaginative and useful use for a small space," remarked Eamonn.

"We are just turning something unused into something better," said Ashley, whose shed is in the "lockdown re-purposed" category of the awards.
