This Morning expert on the exact date you should put your Christmas tree up

It may only be November but the countdown to Christmas is officially on.

After a less than normal year, many people have thrown away with tradition and started putting their Christmas decorations up early.

Even celebrities have started with the festivities in a bid to add cheer to their homes.

But what do the experts think? It's a question both Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield wanted to know on This Morning.

The presenters quizzed resident interior design expert Kelly Hoppen on the exact date Christmas trees should go up.

Holly, 39, asked Kelly: "As an interior designer, is there an official moment you put the tree up? What would be your advice?"

Kelly replied: "Just listening to you saying you get that fuzzy feeling, I'm exactly the same.

"Really December 1, I guess."

Before adding: "But I think this year we've had such a horrible year, we should all put them up now!"

Holly beamed and said: "There you go! It's official, she's declared tree season open."

And Holly's not the only one eager to start festivities. This week McDonald's released their festive menu for 2020 while KFC unveiled the ultimate Christmas burger.

Supermarkets have also outlined their Christmas food delivery slots as well as dropping their highly-anticipated Christmas adverts. You can watch them all here.
