This Morning chef Clodagh McKenna breaks down in tears on St Patrick's Day

This Morning chef Clodagh McKenna broke down in tears today as she confessed she missed her family.

Clodagh is known for her cheery manner and eccentric personality and today she made an Irish dish in homage to St Patrick's Day.

Clodagh chatted with Holly and Phil about the smoked haddock chowder she was making and talk turned to her home in Ireland.

She said: "It was just before lockdown and I was going over to see my mum, and 'Hi mum'"

Then suddenly Clodagh started to cry and Holly said: "Awww."

Clodagh said: "I'm sorry."

Holly sympathised with her and said: "It's days like today that you really think about them isn't it, we're alright and then you have a day when you're meant to be with them and it's even harder."

Clodagh remained teary and said: "Exactly."

Clodagh apologised for getting upset but the presenting pair told her not to worry.

She then said she'd be making an Irish coffee and an Irish cream tiramisu later on in the programme and Phil told her to drink her Guinness.
