This Morning caller's message to Holly Willoughby leaves viewers confused

One lucky caller won a spa break and £1000 cash on Wednesday's instalment of ITV's This Morning.

Roseanne from Portsmouth was selected to play Spin to Win - a competition where viewers can enter online for a chance to spin the wheel and win a prize.

The 59-year-old confessed she had entered many times and never been chosen before, and she almost missed her chance today.

As the phone rang and rang, a nervous-looking Holly Willoughby said through gritted teeth: "Come on, pick up. Pick up, pick up."

When Roseanne eventually answered, she was given a question about This Morning presenter Josie Gibson.

After given the correct answer, Roseanne was called "the perfect winner" by Phillip Schofield.

But it was what she said next that had viewers talking.

Roseanne said: "I'm so excited, I've been entering the competition forever.

"And can I just say, Holly, happy birthday for next month."

Holly replied: "Oh my god, thanks. Does my birthday begin now? Yes it does!"

"The reason I remember, Holly, is you share the same birthday as me so I'll be 60 on the tenth of February. I love you guys. Thank you."

A number of fans of the morning programme took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Chantal Moscoe said: "Darling it's not even the 20th of January yet"

a__w89 said: "She might as well say happy Christmas for December too"

SlapstickSally said: "Mine's Feb 26th if anybody cares."

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and the ITV Hub.
