Eamonn Holmes apologises to This Morning caller after awkward blunder

This Morning suffered an awkward blunder today after Eamonn Holmes misheard a Spin To Win contestant's password as 'good evening' rather than 'bees knees'.

Eamonn and wife Ruth Langsford began calling various people who had entered the competition.

They called the first person who had a rather deep voice as they said something.

"He said good evening!" Eamonn chuckled and leaned over.

Ruth shushed him and said: "Hello?"

"He said good evening," Eamonn insisted.

"He didn't!" Ruth retorted.

"He did."

"He didn't!"

Eamonn asked: "Why do you contradict me every time with everything?"

He believed that Lee from Hull said 'good evening' (ITV)

Later on in the programme, the couple clarified that the caller Lee, from Hull, had said 'bees knees' rather than good evening and that he would be getting a free spin later.

The couple had moved on to the next callers, one of which who won but accidentally called them Holly and Phil.

Contestant Jessica was overcome with excitement after she realised that she was on the ITV programme today.

"Are you kidding me?" she asked as Eamonn and wife Ruth Langsford confirmed that they weren't kidding her.

She continued: "I'm really talking to Phil and Holly?!"

"No you're not talking to Phil and Holly," Eamonn responded. "Better than that! Cancel her and move on! Next one!"

"Eamonn and Ruth?" she replied.

"Even better! Yes!"

Jessica won £1,000 on the show (ITV)

"Oh my god!" Jessica squealed. "Oh my god!"

She later revealed that she was on maternity leave and was currently walking around the park with her baby.

Eamonn and Ruth then spun the wheel and she won £1,000, leaving her delighted.

However, another caller was not quite so fortunate before her after the hosts misheard his password.

The couple later clarified that he had said 'bees knees' rather than good evening, which Eamonn believed he had said, and that he would be getting a free spin later.
