This Morning and Good Morning Britain will be half an hour longer from January

The brand new morning schedule for ITV has been announced, with viewer favourite This Morning starting earlier and running for longer.

From Monday, January 6, This Morning will start at 10am and run until 12.30pm, still fronted by Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Good Morning Britain will also return in the new year with an extra half an hour, and will run from 6am until 9am.

That will be followed by Lorraine at 9am, and the Loose Women will stay where they are at 12.30-1.30pm.

The schedule changes will accommodate the gap left by The Jeremy Kyle Show which was cancelled earlier this year after the death of a guest. That gap is currently filled by Judge Rinder.

Emma Gormley, Managing Director ITV Daytime, which produces all of the shows, said: “The ITV daytime teams consists of the very best on screen and off screen talent in the business, enabling us to set the agenda from early morning until the afternoon, as we pass the baton from show to show.

"We can't wait to bring our audiences an even greater abundance of personalities, surprises, warmth and humour and a bigger and better schedule for 2020.”
