This Morning Alison Hammond awkward blunder as she forgets celeb's death

Alison Hammond was left red-faced today as it appeared that she had forgotten a celebrity had died.

Today's This Morning saw Alison and her co-host Dermot O'Leary speak to a celebrity property expert about the homes that were currently up for sale.

Sylvester Stallone's mega mansion, Tom Cruise's remote hideout and other lavish homes were all shown on the show.

Joan Rivers' New York penthouse was also shown on the show and Alison said she thought Joan's place would be great.

But the property expert had to remind Alison that Joan had actually passed away several years ago and the penthouse was now in different hands.

And viewers were quick to point out Alison's mistake.

Steve Lowe said: "Ooh, did Alison forget Joan Rivers already passed away?"

Fer said: "Joan rivers died in 2014 Alison."

@scheissshowuk said: "Alison talking about Joan Rivers having a NY penthouse, not realising she died 7 years ago!"

Ali said: "I don't think Alison knew that Joan Rivers is deceased."

A few weeks ago Alison made another blunder as she interviewed Gregory Piper, who plays PC Ryan Pilkington from Line of Duty.

Alison made an error as she asked him: "Do you think he will actually kill someone?" because Ryan has already killed someone in the series as he drowned a fellow officer in the lake.

Ryan was also the one who killed DS John Corbett in series five by slitting his throat with a knife.

Gregory nervously laughed said: "Well you've seen what he's done in the past."
