This man has been banned from every Co-op store in England

A persistent offender has been banned from all Co-op stores in England, must have proof of ownership if he is riding a bike and cannot enter any shop without cash or a card.

Fardin Farji, was branded a “prolific” and “persistent offender” by cops after various shofliftings, thefts, drug offences, and anti-social behaviour.

The 28-year-old has also breached other attempts to curb his behaviour including Community Protection Warnings as well as a Community Protection Notice.

But Sussex Police managed to get a criminal behaviour order put on Farji at Worthing Magistrates’ Court.

As well as not being able to enter any Co-op in England, unemployed Farji, of Worthing, Sussex, has also been banned from Worthing town centre, he can’t ride a bike without proof of ownership, carry two or more phones, or enter a shop without the means to pay.

The 28-year-old’s list of bans also include a restriction not to enter Waitrose in Worthing High Street, remain in any shop or commercial building when asked to leave by staff, or enter the specific area of Broadwater other than being driven through it.

He has been told by a court he will land himself in jail if he doesn’t follow the order.

PC Jack Buchanan, of the Adur and Worthing Operation Override team, said: “We are delighted to have obtained this Criminal Behaviour Order for Fardin Farji.

“His behaviour and offending has been causing loss to the people and businesses of Worthing for a considerable period of time.

“This order will further assist Sussex Police in tackling his offending, preventing further loss, safeguarding our residents and businesses as well as hopefully allowing him to re-address his behaviour and get the help he needs moving forward.”
