THIS "magical" glen that is home to a couple of "beautiful" waterfalls could be the best in Scotland.
Located close to Inverness, the Fairy Glen Nature Reserve near Rosemarkie is a small, steep-sided reserve containing a broadleaf woodland, a winding path and plenty of moss-covered rocks.
At the end of the path (1.2 miles long), visitors will discover two beautiful waterfalls that tumble into the pool below.

According to the RSPB, the "hidden" glen is the perfect place for enjoying the sounds of buzzards circling overhead and sighting Grey Herons stalking fish along the "glittering" stream.
Praising the stunning waterfalls and pools here, visitors on Tripadvisor gave the location a 4.6/5 out of 211 reviews.

One person said it is a "lovely place for a longish forest walk" that is also "super" for dogs.
However, they were quick to warn potential explorers about the terrain here, writing: "Path narrows and gets muddy in places, so wear shoes you don't mind getting mucky."

Another said: "We've been up in this area on many occasions, mainly to visit Chanonry Point, but have never walked up to the falls.
"This time, whilst travelling along the NC500, we decided to stop off and have a stroll up to the falls, and what a beautiful, peaceful walk it was.
"Definitely a must-do if you are in the area, but I can imagine the path can get quite muddy and treacherous on a rainy day."
