'This isn't fair' - Newcastle United star linked with Bristol City, Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion reiterates desire to leave

Isaac Hayden has reiterated his desire to leave Newcastle United.

The 24-year-old wants to move further south in order to be closer to his daughter, and was last summer linked with a move to Bristol City.

West Brom and Aston Villa are said to be rivalling the Robins for the midfielder's signature - but leaving St James's Park has proved easier said than done for Hayden.

He was keen to leave both last summer and in January but Magpies boss Rafa Benitez is reluctant to let him go without a replacement.

However, Hayden is confident this won't be an issue this summer.

"My daughter's a one-year-old who's used to doing five-hour journeys," he told Newcastle United's club site. "Most one-year-olds would be kicking and screaming not happy at all.

"But she's used to doing it. I'm sitting here looking at her thinking this isn't fair on you anymore."

'We're laughing at Leeds United' - What promotion-chasing Championship clubs including Bristol City and Aston Villa are currently saying

Hayden then opened the door for a move in the coming months, adding: "I think I've made it very clear to the club's hierarchy and the fans.

"I've got my side of the story out - I've made it pretty clear how things go. I don't think there'll be many questions.

"I don't think summer's going to be an issue. It's pretty well documented how I feel. But it won't change my mentality.

"When I wasn't playing, when I got sent off, when I was playing, when I was in the stands, it didn't change my mentality of training hard and doing the correct things and it never will.

"That won't change, even if I didn't play another game or kick another ball for Newcastle. That's just how I am."
