Police have confirmed a helicopter had been circling Gedling Country Park due to concerns for someone's safety.
It was searching the Gedling area, including the park, from around 5.25pm on Wednesday, January 8.
Some residents reported seeing the helicopter near the Plains Farm estate and said it had been hovering for around 30 minutes.
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police added the incident had "been resolved."
The force has been contacted for further information regarding the incident.
