Shoppers were evacuated from the intu Victoria Centre this morning.
According to the director of the centre it was due to a fire alarm.
The alarm went off at around 9.50am and people were told to leave the building for a short time before being allowed back in.
Nigel Wheatley, centre director at the shopping Centre, said: “intu Victoria Centre was evacuated this morning because a fire alarm went off. Fortunately, there was no fire and we are now open as usual.”
“We’re sorry for any disruption this caused and thank you for bearing with us.”
