This is why the emergency services were in Aspley last night

The emergency services were called to reports of a fence and hedge on fire on Tuesday night (September 17).

Firefighters were called to Broxtowe Lane, Aspley, around 9.28pm.

Crews from Stockhill Fire Station attended the incident.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service tweeted to say: "Stockhill attended an incident on Broxtowe Lane, Aspley, involving a fence and hedge on fire. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire."

Police were called to assist the fire service at 9.34pm.
