This is why police were called to a road in Bradley Stoke this afternoon

Police were called to Oaktree Crescent in Bradley Stoke on Sunday (August 30) afternoon at around 4.20pm.

Eyewitnesses at the scene originally believed that someone in the area had been shot and was running away from police.

However, a spokesperson for the force confirmed that they were instead called to a domestic related incident at 4.20pm today where they arrested a 48-year-old man and no shots were fired.

In a separate incident yesterday, police arrested a man on the same road, Oaktree Crescent, after reports of Bradley Stoke residents receiving threats to their lives.

Ten police cars were called to the road and a 48-year-old man was located close by and arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.
