This is why Oasis lyrics are mysteriously appearing all over Leeds

Eagle-eyed Oasis fans have noticed posters springing up all over Leeds city centre bearing lyrics from some of the band's most famous songs.

Around 20 of the cryptic posters have been plastered onto pillars in City Square, outside the Corn Exchange and on The Calls - all bearing the hashtag #DM25.

Needless to say, Noel and Liam haven't been in town though (sorry folks).

Instead, the posters have gone up ahead of the 25th anniversary of the band's seminal debut album, Definitely Maybe.

Released on August 29, 1994, it skyrocketed the Mancunian band to stardom, going on to sell seven times platinum in the UK and over five million copies worldwide.

Definitely Maybe was the fastest ever selling debut album in the UK at the time of its release - and now fans can get their hands of limited edition special releases to mark the big anniversary.

Original content will be released on the band's website throughout August, but that's not all.

Oasis fans can also snap up a picture disc and a silver coloured LP from the end of the month.

For more information, visit the band's website.
