Avon Fire and Rescue has revealed why fire crews were spotted at the harbourside over the weekend
Firefighters were seen stationed outside the amphitheatre near the city centre during the afternoon of Sunday, June 14.
Pictures taken by a resident show several fire vehicles at the scene at around 2pm.
A spokesperson for the fire service has now confirmed that firefighters from two stations were carrying out training in the area.
Temple fire station tweeted: "Blue watch water tower training today". Bath fire station later added: "Colleagues from @AFRSTemple drilling by the harbour side."
In other news, there were traffic delays on Bristol ring road yesterday due to a car fire which was attended to by two fire engines and police officers.
