This is why Ed Sheeran might wear a Leeds United shirt for his massive Roundhay Park shows

Many of us might know Ed Sheeran as an Ipswich Town supporter but we reckon he might just wear a Leeds United shirt during his .

Tonight and tomorrow, the global superstar will be performing to thousands here in Leeds as the park hosts its first big gigs in years.

Fans are incredibly excited to see him perform songs such as Thinking Out Loud and The A Team with some getting to the site early this morning ahead of this evening’s show.

Sheeran, 28, who grew up in Suffolk, was actually born in Halifax and is doing Yorkshire and Ipswich ‘homecoming’ shows are part of his UK live comeback.

This weekend in Roundhay Park there’s a possibility we might see Sheeran wear a Leeds United shirt - despite his Ipswich Town allegiances.

We think this could happen because he’s been donning famous football shirts during his shows on his European tour.

The singer-songwriter has posed for photos with the crowd in the shirts. He’s tended to wear national jerseys but here in Leeds he might well just put on a mighty Whites shirt.

On his official Instagram, there’s posts of Sheeran in Russian, Danish, German and Icelandic football tops on his tour.
