This is why Bruno Tonioli won't appear on Strictly Come Dancing tonight

Much-loved Strictly Come Dancing Judge Bruno Tonioli won't appear on Strictly Come Dancing tonight (Saturday, October 19), but don't fear - he has a replacement.

Actor Alfonso Ribeiro will step in to fill his very big shoes when he jets off to fulfill other work commitments.

Bruno, 63, will not be present for show due to his work commitments in America on Dancing With The Stars.

The energetic Italian judge missed his first ever show in October 2017 and also missed one week during last year's series.

He didn't have a replacement in 2017 but last year Fresh Prince of Bel Air actor Alfonso Ribeiro took to the judging panel to fill in for Bruno.

Alfonso, 48, was crowned winner of series 19 of the US version of Strictly - Dancing With The Stars.

He proved successful with the viewers when he filled the slot last year.

He's also previously appeared on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

Alfonso is set to sit alongside head judge Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and new judge Motsi Mabuse.

While Bruno will jet off to take his judging seat on Dancing With The Stars alongside former Strictly head judge Len Goodman, and Carrie Ann Inaba.
