This is where Notts County would finish if controversial points per game decides season

Notts County are waiting for an update on the National League as to when the season will resume or if the division will be decided by other means.

One of the solutions put forward is deciding league positions on points per game ratio which has been discussed by several clubs as a fair way to settle who goes up and who goes down.

But how would the table finish?

Magpies writer Leigh Curtis takes a look.

24. Chorley (0.684 PPG)

Would be relegated. No difference to their position in the table.

23. AFC Fylde (1.054)

Despite picking up of late and securing two crucial wins, Fylde would also be relegated to National League North.

22. Ebbsfleet (1.076)

Their PPG would see them drop one place in the table and relegated.

21. Maidenhead (1.078)

Would rise one place in the table overtaking Ebbsfleet, but would not be enough to save them from the drop.

20. Chesterfield (1.157)

Would drop one position, but survival would be guaranteed.

19. Wrexham (1.162)

Dean Keates' side would move up a place.

18. Aldershot (1.179)

If PPG was employed they would drop two places.

17. Dagenham (1.189)

Daryl McMahon's side move up a place.

Notts County's Kyle Wootton celebrates making it 1-1 with Enzio Boldewijn against Sutton United (Dan Westwell)

16. Eastleigh (1.243)

Ben Strevens' side would climb one position from their current standing.

15. Sutton United (1.315)

Down a position.

14. Torquay United (1.333)

Up a position from their current one.

13. Bromley (1.368)

Would stay in the same place in the table.

12. Hartlepool United (1.41)

One of the biggest movers. Would drop  three positions from their standing.

11. Dover Athletic (1.421)

Climb one position.

10. Woking (1.447)

Same position.

9. Solihull Moors (1.447)

Jimmy Shan's team would fall one position.

8. Stockport (1.487)

Down one position meaning they would miss out on a top-seven finish.

7. Barnet (1.542)

The team who would have the biggest benefit given their games in hand. Would leap four positions from their current National League standing.

6. FC Halifax (1.567)

No effect.

5. Boreham Wood (1.621)

Would stay in fifth.

4. Yeovil Town (1.621 PPG)

No effect on league positon.

3. Notts County (1.657 PPG)

Neal Ardley's side would remain in third.

2. Harrogate Town (1.783)

Would finish runners-up.
