This is where Nottingham Forest are predicted to finish this season

Nottingham Forest are off to a flyer this season.

Sabri Lamouchi's men are second in the table and locked on the same number of points as leaders West Bromwich Albion heading into the international break.

Forest have picked up 22 points from their first 11 games and after beating Brentford on the weekend, they are 10 league games unbeaten, only losing one in total so far this term.

Reds boss Lamouchi isn't getting carried away by the start, but some supporters may already be dreaming about a long-awaited return to the promised land.

Though, promotion isn't going to come via automatic promotion if a recent prediction is to be believed.

FootballWebPages regularly update a predicted table, which is based on everything from recent and current form, fixtures and current form of opponents.

And according to their latest predictions, Forest will miss out on the top two, instead reaching the play-offs, which many Reds fans will have taken at the start of the campaign.

Lamouchi's men are predicted to finish in fourth place, just three points off Leeds United in second.

Swansea City are predicted to finish top with 95 points, while West Brom in third, Bristol City and Fulham are expected to make up the play-offs.

Current predictions have Stoke City, Barnsley and Reading dropping into League One.

Though, those sides, and indeed Forest, who might just have aspirations beyond the play-offs based on recent form, will take some comfort in the fact that the Championship is far from predictable.
